Recently, consumers have become invested in more natural and sustainable ingredients contained personal care products. Unfortunately, cationic surfactants are still heavily relied on as primary conditioning agents products such shampoos because of their ability to cling well the negatively charged surface hair follicles. Additionally, sulfates utilized cleansing they highly effective low cost. The objective this study is find a formulation for shampoo without compromising desired wet combing, rheological, activity properties. systems which were investigated hyaluronic acid (HA) at variety molecular weights concentrations, combination with surfactant, either acidic sophorolipid (ASL) or alkyl polyglucoside (APG), varying presence sodium chloride. A Dia-stron was test combing force, rheometer recorded viscosity various shear rates, tensiometer measured tension samples before visual foaming conducted. Molecular weight concentration seemed large impact rheology, largest producing lowest friction coefficient rheological profile. addition surfactant significantly aids reduction increased foamability. Therefore, optimal system achieve shear-thinning behavior, relatively decent composed 1% HA 800 kDa, 10% ASL NaCl. This shows viable sulfate-free silicone-free option that can both cleansing.
